Frequently Asked Questions

theNaru is a place to create a warm, shareable memorial for someone you've lost — a bilingual page with photos, a written tribute, service details, and easy RSVPs. A funeral director or a partner church can set one up for your family, or you can create one yourself.
There are a few ways. If you're working with a funeral director, they'll set up the page and send your family a secure access link. Families following Korean tradition with a partner church can create a memorial themselves using the church's 6-digit code. And families working with neither a funeral home nor a church can create one directly and verify their identity so the page can be shared.
Use the Share button on any memorial page to share via KakaoTalk, iMessage (iPhone), or Android Messages — or copy the link directly.
Guests can RSVP directly from the memorial page by clicking the RSVP button next to each service event.
Flower and gift services are being prepared and will be announced on memorial pages when available in your area.
theNaru supports English and Korean for our MVP, with additional languages planned.
For families, creating and sharing a memorial is free. Funeral homes and partner organizations can contact us about plans for teams of all sizes.
